We manufacture a
complete line of hooded sprayers and accessories for both in
row and broadcast weed control.
Our
conventional hood, the Dickey 2000 Series Spray Hood is the
best on the market for conventional (non roundup-ready)
crops because it maintains contact with the row shoulders
sealing crop damaging chemicals under the hood. The directed spray
nozzles also ride on the row shoulders providing the most precise
spray platform possible.
Three
important features work hand-in-hand
to make the Dickey 2000 Series Spray Hood your best choice for 100%
Chemical Cultivation
- Our hood is built with a heavy parallel linkage similar to a
conventional cultivator that provides excellent stability and
tracking while floating in contact with the ground. An easily
adjusted up-pressure spring assures the hoods ride lightly on the
ground. Many competitive hoods are built with lighter swinging
linkages that are made to run off the ground allowing for air
turbulence and imprecise application.
- Now consider the tapered design of the Dickey Spray Hood. As
the season progresses you will find them to be much kinder to your
crops.
- Finally, check what we've got under our hood. Experts agree
the way you eliminate drift is to lower nozzles as much as
possible and increase droplet size while minimizing pressure. Our
integrated mini-boom holds two Turbo Teejet tipped nozzles
which fan out faster with pressures as low as 15 psi from only 8
inches off the ground with larger droplet size than conventional
nozzles.
The latest addition to our line is
the Dickey Stealth Sprayer. With its sleek crop- friendly
design late season or layby spraying will not be a problem for
this hood. It employs a single Turbo Teejet nozzle under
each hood which is angled down and to the rear for more
effective nozzle height. Mounted on the rear flange of the molded
hood are directed spray nozzles which can apply a precisely directed
post emergence spray under the crop
canopy.
